My work covers a range of media and techniques. In my earlier years I created large textile pieces using batik and screen printing techniques as well as creating silk scarves. I went through a phase of creating three dimensional soft sculptures.and more recently have been working with art quilts.
I have been running after-school art clubs at local primary schools for a number of years but have also been doing workshops in many other primary and secondary schools. In addition to those workshops I have been involved in many other community related activities with elderly, disabled and disadvantaged groups. The most significant of these was the pioneering Vital Communities project run in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to measure the impact of the Arts on local communities.
